Dominant groups

Analysis of the country of birth of the population in the Shire of Mundaring in 2016 compared to Greater Perth shows that there was a smaller proportion of people born overseas, as well as a smaller proportion of people from a non-English speaking background.

Overall, 24.2% of the population was born overseas, and 7.8% were from a non-English speaking background, compared with 36.1% and 19.3% respectively for Greater Perth.

The major differences between the countries of birth of the population in the Shire of Mundaring and Greater Perth were:
