Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Country Townships in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (530 males or 18.9%)
  • Manufacturing (223 males or 8.0%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (222 males or 7.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 975 males in total or 34.8% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the Mount Barker District Council employed 16.8% in Construction; 8.3% in Manufacturing; and 4.3% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing.
