Dominant groups

In 2016, there were 368 people who caught public transport to work (train, bus, tram or ferry) in Mount Eliza, compared with 6,071 who drove in private vehicles (car – as driver, car – as passenger, motorbike, or truck).

Analysis of the method of travel to work of the residents in Mount Eliza in 2016, compared to Mornington Peninsula Shire, shows that 4.5% used public transport, while 74.2% used a private vehicle, compared with 2.6% and 75.3% respectively in Mornington Peninsula Shire.
