Analysis of the household/family types in Rural Balance in 2021 compared to San Remo shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a similar proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 27.5% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.7% were one-parent families, compared with 21.0% and 6.3% respectively for San Remo.
There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a similar proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 21.2% compared to 28.6% in San Remo while the proportion of couples without children was 34.5% compared to 34.4% in San Remo.
