Dominant groups

Analysis of the female service age groups of the RDA Northern Territory in 2021 compared to Central Desert Regional Council LGA shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (0 to 17 years) and a higher proportion of females in the older age groups (60+ years).

Overall, 22.2% of the female population was aged between 0 and 17, and 17.0% were aged 60 years and over, compared with 26.3% and 13.6% respectively for Central Desert Regional Council LGA.

The major differences between the female age structure of the RDA Northern Territory and Central Desert Regional Council LGA were:
