Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in City of Darwin LGA in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (6,928 females or 31.9%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (4,086 females or 18.8%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (3,703 females or 17.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 14,717 females in total or 67.7% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Litchfield Council LGA employed 20.5% in Professionals; 27.1% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 14.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the City of Darwin LGA and Litchfield Council LGA were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (31.9% compared to 20.5%)
