Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Big Rivers in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (699 females or 21.6%)
  • Education and Training (623 females or 19.3%)
  • Public Administration and Safety (537 females or 16.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,859 females in total or 57.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the RDA Northern Territory employed 22.0% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.0% in Education and Training; and 17.3% in Public Administration and Safety.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Big Rivers and the RDA Northern Territory were:
