Dominant groups
Analysis of individual income levels in Barkly Regional Council LGA in 2021 compared to West Arnhem Regional Council LGA shows that there was a higher proportion of people earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income people (those earning less than $500 per week).
Overall, 7.1% of the population earned a high income, and 47.5% earned a low income, compared with 4.7% and 63.3% respectively for West Arnhem Regional Council LGA.
The major differences between Barkly Regional Council LGA's individual incomes and West Arnhem Regional Council LGA's individual incomes were:
