Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Wider Darwin in 2021 compared to Central Desert Regional Council LGA shows that there was a similar proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 28.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.1% were one-parent families, compared with 28.4% and 13.7% respectively for Central Desert Regional Council LGA.
