Dominant groups

Analysis of the female five year age groups of the RDA Northern Territory in 2021 compared to Litchfield Council LGA shows that there was a higher proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) and a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 20.6% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 8.8% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 19.8% and 11.6% respectively for Litchfield Council LGA.

The major differences between the female age structure of the RDA Northern Territory and Litchfield Council LGA were:
