Dominant groups

Analysis of the family blending in the City of Palmerston LGA in 2021 compared to Coomalie Community Government Council LGA shows that there was a lower proportion of step families as well as a lower proportion of blended families. Overall, 15.9% of total couple families with children were step families, and 6.4% were blended families, compared with 17.7% and 4.8% respectively for Coomalie Community Government Council LGA.
