Dominant groups
The size of Big Rivers's labour force in 2021 was 7,285, of which 1,371 were employed part-time and 4,806 were full time workers.
Analysis of the employment status (as a percentage of the labour force) in Big Rivers in 2021 compared to the RDA Northern Territory shows that there was a lower proportion in employment, and a higher proportion unemployed. Overall, 92.0% of the labour force was employed, and 8.0% unemployed, compared with 94.4% and 5.6% respectively for the RDA Northern Territory.
