Analysis of the qualifications of the population in the City of Mount Gambier in 2021 compared to Naracoorte-Lucindale Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of people holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a lower proportion of people with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 43.5% of the population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 48.1% had no qualifications, compared with 40.0% and 49.5% respectively for Naracoorte-Lucindale Council area.
The major differences between qualifications held by the population of the City of Mount Gambier and Naracoorte-Lucindale Council area were:
