Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Limestone Coast region in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Managers (5,493 people or 17.4%)
  • Labourers (5,093 people or 16.2%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (4,404 people or 14.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 14,990 people in total or 47.5% of the employed resident population.

In comparison, Regional SA employed 16.7% in Managers; 15.1% in Labourers; and 14.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Limestone Coast region and Regional SA were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed as Labourers (16.2% compared to 15.1%)
