Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in District Council of Grant in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (401 females or 20.9%)
  • Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing (253 females or 13.2%)
  • Education and Training (240 females or 12.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 894 females in total or 46.5% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Mount Gambier employed 27.4% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 2.6% in Agriculture, Forestry and Fishing; and 13.4% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of the District Council of Grant and the City of Mount Gambier were:
