Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Islington in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (247 females or 38.2%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (107 females or 16.5%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (91 females or 14.1%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 445 females in total or 68.8% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, New Lambton Heights employed 49.1% in Professionals; 10.8% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 12.5% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Islington and New Lambton Heights were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (16.5% compared to 10.8%)
