Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hamilton East in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (25 males or 10.6%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (24 males or 10.2%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (23 males or 9.7%)

In combination, these three industries employed 72 males in total or 30.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Hunter Region SA4 employed 7.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 5.9% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 6.3% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hamilton East and Hunter Region SA4 were:
