Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Hamilton in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (159 males or 12.7%)
  • Construction (136 males or 10.9%)
  • Accommodation and Food Services (132 males or 10.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 427 males in total or 34.2% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Broadmeadow employed 10.9% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 12.7% in Construction; and 8.0% in Accommodation and Food Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Hamilton and Broadmeadow were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in accommodation and food services (10.6% compared to 8.0%)
