Analysis of the car ownership of the households in Wickham in 2021 compared to Newcastle East shows that 88.1% of the households owned at least one car, while 7.5% did not, compared with 72.9% and 14.2% respectively in Newcastle East.
Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a larger proportion who owned just one car; a larger proportion who owned two cars; and a larger proportion who owned three cars or more.
Overall, 50.8% of the households owned one car; 30.6% owned two cars; and 6.8% owned three cars or more, compared with 41.3%; 26.2% and 5.4% respectively for Newcastle East.
