Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sorrento in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (527 males or 26.1%)
- Managers (507 males or 25.1%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (338 males or 16.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,372 males in total or 67.9% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 21.0% in Professionals; 17.5% in Managers; and 25.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Sorrento and the City of Joondalup were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (25.1% compared to 17.5%)
- A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (26.1% compared to 21.0%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (16.7% compared to 25.1%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (4.1% compared to 7.4%)
Emerging groups
The number of employed males in Sorrento increased by 121 between 2016 and 2021.
There were no major differences in Sorrento between 2016 and 2021.
