There were more male technicians and trades workers in Ocean Reef in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Ocean Reef in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Technicians and Trades Workers (527 males or 23.6%)
  • Professionals (445 males or 19.9%)
  • Managers (439 males or 19.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 1,411 males in total or 63.2% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 25.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 21.0% in Professionals; and 17.5% in Managers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Ocean Reef and the City of Joondalup were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (19.7% compared to 17.5%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Sales Workers (7.2% compared to 6.0%)
  • A smaller percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (23.6% compared to 25.1%)
