When viewed with other indicators, such as Educational Qualifications and Individual Income, Occupation is a key measure for evaluating Marmion's socio-economic status and skill base.

Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Marmion in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Professionals (178 males or 28.7%)
- Managers (151 males or 24.4%)
- Technicians and Trades Workers (110 males or 17.7%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 439 males in total or 70.8% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, North West Metropolitan Region employed 16.6% in Professionals; 14.5% in Managers; and 26.9% in Technicians and Trades Workers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Marmion and North West Metropolitan Region were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Professionals (28.7% compared to 16.6%)
- A larger percentage of males employed as Managers (24.4% compared to 14.5%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (17.7% compared to 26.9%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Machinery Operators And Drivers (3.9% compared to 10.7%)

The number of employed males in Marmion increased by 43 between 2016 and 2021.
There were no major differences in Marmion between 2016 and 2021.
