Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Central Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:
- Technicians and Trades Workers (1,998 males or 28.2%)
- Professionals (1,360 males or 19.2%)
- Managers (1,081 males or 15.3%)
In combination these three occupations accounted for 4,439 males in total or 62.7% of the employed male resident population.
In comparison, North-Central Ward employed 26.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers; 19.2% in Professionals; and 17.4% in Managers.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Central Ward and North-Central Ward were:
- A larger percentage of males employed as Technicians and Trades Workers (28.2% compared to 26.1%)
- A smaller percentage of males employed as Managers (15.3% compared to 17.4%)
