Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Hillarys in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (950 females or 33.3%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (660 females or 23.1%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (390 females or 13.7%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 2,000 females in total or 70.1% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, Iluka employed 26.6% in Professionals; 23.8% in Clerical and Administrative Workers; and 16.3% in Community and Personal Service Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Hillarys and Iluka were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Professionals (33.3% compared to 26.6%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed as Managers (11.9% compared to 10.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed as Sales Workers (9.8% compared to 13.1%)
