Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Iluka in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (269 males or 16.1%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (211 males or 12.6%)
  • Mining (166 males or 9.9%)

In combination, these three industries employed 646 males in total or 38.7% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Western Australia employed 14.2% in Construction; 7.4% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 11.3% in Mining.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Iluka and Western Australia were:
