Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Craigie in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (424 males or 24.2%)
  • Mining (156 males or 8.9%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (114 males or 6.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 694 males in total or 39.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, South-West Ward employed 16.5% in Construction; 9.9% in Mining; and 12.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Craigie and South-West Ward were:
