Dominant groups
An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Sorrento in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:
- Construction (307 males or 15.2%)
- Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (273 males or 13.5%)
- Mining (186 males or 9.2%)
In combination, these three industries employed 766 males in total or 37.9% of the total employed male resident population.
In comparison, South Ward employed 17.6% in Construction; 12.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 9.9% in Mining.
The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Sorrento and South Ward were:
