Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Joondalup City Centre in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (144 males or 12.0%)
  • Retail Trade (122 males or 10.2%)
  • Health Care and Social Assistance (102 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 368 males in total or 30.8% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Joondalup employed 19.0% in Construction; 6.9% in Retail Trade; and 4.8% in Health Care and Social Assistance.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of Joondalup City Centre and the City of Joondalup were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed in health care and social assistance (8.5% compared to 4.8%)
