Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Greenwood in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (558 males or 21.6%)
  • Mining (238 males or 9.2%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (226 males or 8.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 1,022 males in total or 39.6% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, South-West Ward employed 16.5% in Construction; 9.9% in Mining; and 12.1% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services.
