Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in South-East Ward in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (1,373 males or 20.0%)
  • Professional, Scientific and Technical Services (619 males or 9.0%)
  • Mining (587 males or 8.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 2,579 males in total or 37.5% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Heathridge employed 24.3% in Construction; 5.0% in Professional, Scientific and Technical Services; and 8.8% in Mining.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of South-East Ward and Heathridge were:
