Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Iluka in 2021 compared to Joondalup shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 50.1% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 6.1% were one-parent families, compared with 22.3% and 10.3% respectively for Joondalup.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a higher proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 8.7% compared to 27.5% in Joondalup while the proportion of couples without children was 32.4% compared to 27.8% in Joondalup.
