Analysis of the ancestry responses of the population in Sorrento in 2021 shows that the top five ancestries nominated were:
- English (3,350 people or 43.0%)
- Australian (2,674 people or 34.3%)
- Irish (1,035 people or 13.3%)
- Scottish (862 people or 11.1%)
- Italian (521 people or 6.7%)
In combination these five ancestries account for 8,442 responses in total, or 108.37% of all responses.
The major differences between the ancestries of the population in Sorrento and Western Australia were:
