Analysis of the number of bedrooms in dwellings for people aged 65 years or more in the City of Joondalup in 2021 compared to Greater Perth, shows that there was a lower proportion of people aged 65 years or more in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and a higher proportion of dwellings with 4 or more bedrooms.
Overall, 7.4% of people aged 65 years or more were in dwellings with 2 bedrooms or less, and 57.0% in 4 or more bedroom dwellings, compared with 17.1% and 40.7% for Greater Perth respectively.
The major differences between the number of bedrooms per dwelling people aged 65 years or more in the City of Joondalup and Greater Perth were:
- A larger percentage of people in 4 bedrooms (48.9% compared to 34.7%)
- A larger percentage of people in 5 bedrooms or more (8.1% compared to 6.1%)
