Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Camden in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (179 females or 24.1%)
  • Education and Training (139 females or 18.7%)
  • Retail Trade (86 females or 11.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 404 females in total or 54.4% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, Camden Council area employed 21.7% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 15.9% in Education and Training; and 11.3% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Camden and Camden Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in education and training (18.7% compared to 15.9%)
  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (24.1% compared to 21.7%)
  • A smaller percentage of females employed in financial and insurance services (1.9% compared to 4.5%)
