Location and boundaries

Spring Farm is bounded by Antoinette Avenue, Richardson Road, Ingham Street, the transmission line and Gundungurra Reserve in the north, the suburb of Mount Annan and William Howe Regional Park in the east, the Nepean River in the south, and the Camden Bypass in the west.

Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the early 1800s, with land used mainly for farming. The area remained largely rural until the 1990s. The population and dwelling stock increased during the early 1990s, and then declined slightly from 1996 to 2006, a result of little change in dwelling stock. Rapid growth took place between 2006 and 2011 as large numbers of new dwellings were added to the area. Growth is expected to continue.

Land use

Spring Farm is a developing residential area, with a waste disposal and recycling centre in the east.

Major features of the area include the Nepean River, Camden Estate Winery, Gundungurra Reserve, Moreton Bay Reserve and Spring Reserve.
