Settlement history

Settlement of the area dates from the early 1800s, with land used mainly for farming and grazing. Some growth took place during the late 1800s, with further expansion from the 1960s. The population increased gradually from the early 1990s as new dwellings were added to the area. Growth is expected in the southern section, in the suburb of Catherine Field.
