More Established District male residents worked in construction than any other industry in 2021.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in Established District in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Construction (3,983 males or 21.2%)
  • Manufacturing (1,893 males or 10.1%)
  • Transport, Postal and Warehousing (1,794 males or 9.6%)

In combination, these three industries employed 7,670 males in total or 40.9% of the total employed male resident population.

In comparison, Camden Council area employed 20.7% in Construction; 9.7% in Manufacturing; and 9.9% in Transport, Postal and Warehousing.

There were no major differences between Established District and Camden Council area in 2021.

Emerging groups

The number of employed males in Established District increased by 3,497 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in the jobs held by the male resident population between 2016 and 2021 in the Established District were for those employed in:

  • Construction (+1,031 males)
  • Manufacturing (+302 males)
