Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the resident population in Camden Council area in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (7,655 people or 12.9%)
  • Construction (7,607 people or 12.8%)
  • Education and Training (5,853 people or 9.8%)

In combination, these three industries employed 21,115 people in total or 35.5% of the total employed resident population.

In comparison, Bringelly - Cobbitty employed 10.6% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 14.9% in Construction; and 10.2% in Education and Training.

The major differences between the jobs held by the population of Camden Council area and Bringelly - Cobbitty were:

  • A larger percentage of persons employed in health care and social assistance (12.9% compared to 10.6%)
