Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in the Growth Areas District in 2021 compared to Camden Council area shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a lower proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 50.9% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 10.8% were one-parent families, compared with 47.5% and 11.7% respectively for Camden Council area.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 11.1% compared to 13.5% in Camden Council area while the proportion of couples without children was 21.3% compared to 22.3% in Camden Council area.
