Dominant groups

Analysis of the household/family types in Spring Farm in 2021 compared to the Rural District shows that there was a higher proportion of couple families with child(ren) as well as a higher proportion of one-parent families. Overall, 47.6% of total families were couple families with child(ren), and 12.8% were one-parent families, compared with 39.3% and 7.2% respectively for the Rural District.

There were a lower proportion of lone person households and a lower proportion of couples without children. Overall, the proportion of lone person households was 11.5% compared to 18.7% in the Rural District while the proportion of couples without children was 24.0% compared to 31.0% in the Rural District.
