Dominant groups

Analysis of the five year age groups of the Established District in 2021 compared to Camden Council area shows that there was a lower proportion of people in the younger age groups (under 15) and a similar proportion of people in the older age groups (65+).

Overall, 24.3% of the population was aged between 0 and 15, and 10.3% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 25.2% and 9.9% respectively for Camden Council area.

The major differences between the age structure of the Established District and Camden Council area were:

  • A larger percentage of persons aged 45 to 49 (7.3% compared to 6.6%)
  • A smaller percentage of persons aged 30 to 34 (7.8% compared to 9.0%)
