Analysis of the qualifications of the female population in CAD West in 2021 compared to South East Overlay shows that there was a lower proportion of females holding formal qualifications (Bachelor or higher degree; Advanced Diploma or Diploma; or Vocational qualifications), and a higher proportion of females with no formal qualifications.
Overall, 56.2% of the female population aged 15 and over held educational qualifications, and 31.8% had no qualifications, compared with 69.8% and 23.4% respectively for South East Overlay.
The major differences between qualifications held by the female population of CAD West and South East Overlay were:
- A larger percentage of females with No qualifications (31.8% compared to 23.4%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Bachelor or Higher degrees (42.8% compared to 51.4%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Advanced Diploma or Diplomas (7.3% compared to 10.0%)
- A smaller percentage of females with Vocational qualifications (6.1% compared to 8.4%)
Emerging groups
The largest changes in the qualifications of the female population in CAD West between 2011 and 2021 were in those with:
- Bachelor or Higher degrees (+500 females)
- No qualifications (+77 females)
- Vocational qualifications (+76 females)
