Welcome to the City of Adelaide Community Profile

The City of Adelaide Estimated Resident Population for 2016 is 23,396, with a population density of 15.02 persons per hectare.

The City of Adelaide is bounded by the City of Charles Sturt, the City of Prospect and the Town of Walkerville in the north, the City of Norwood Payneham St Peters and the City of Burnside in the east, the City of Unley in the south, and the City of West Torrens in the west.

The City of Adelaide Community Profile provides demographic analysis for the City and its suburbs based on results from the 2016, 2011, 2006, 2001, 1996 and 1991 Censuses of Population and Housing. The profile is updated with population estimates when the Australian Bureau of Statistics (ABS) releases new figures.
