There were more female professionals in CAD East in 2021 than any other occupation.

Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in CAD East in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (303 females or 36.2%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (142 females or 17.0%)
  • Clerical and Administrative Workers (127 females or 15.2%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 572 females in total or 68.3% of the employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 36.1% in Professionals; 17.4% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 15.9% in Clerical and Administrative Workers.

The major difference between the jobs held by the female population of CAD East and the City of Adelaide was:

  • A larger percentage of females employed as Labourers (5.3% compared to 4.2%)

Emerging groups

The number of employed females in CAD East increased by 364 between 2016 and 2021.

The largest changes in the occupations of female residents between 2016 and 2021 in CAD East were for those employed as:

  • Professionals (+117 females)
