Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the male resident population in CAD West in 2021 shows the three most popular occupations were:

  • Professionals (297 males or 29.4%)
  • Community and Personal Service Workers (137 males or 13.6%)
  • Technicians and Trades Workers (131 males or 13.0%)

In combination these three occupations accounted for 565 males in total or 55.9% of the employed male resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 38.7% in Professionals; 9.6% in Community and Personal Service Workers; and 11.1% in Technicians and Trades Workers.

The major differences between the jobs held by the male population of CAD West and the City of Adelaide were:

  • A larger percentage of males employed as Labourers (11.7% compared to 7.1%)
  • A larger percentage of males employed as Community and Personal Service Workers (13.6% compared to 9.6%)
