Dominant groups

An analysis of the jobs held by the female resident population in Lower North Adelaide in 2021 shows the three most popular industry sectors were:

  • Health Care and Social Assistance (141 females or 22.7%)
  • Education and Training (85 females or 13.7%)
  • Retail Trade (65 females or 10.5%)

In combination, these three industries employed 291 females in total or 46.9% of the total employed female resident population.

In comparison, the City of Adelaide employed 20.2% in Health Care and Social Assistance; 11.7% in Education and Training; and 8.7% in Retail Trade.

The major differences between the jobs held by the female population of Lower North Adelaide and the City of Adelaide were:

  • A larger percentage of females employed in health care and social assistance (22.7% compared to 20.2%)
