Dominant groups

Analysis of female individual income levels in the City of Adelaide in 2021 compared to CAD East shows that there was a higher proportion of females earning a high income (those earning $2,000 per week or more) and a lower proportion of low income females (those earning less than $500 per week).

Overall, 10.6% of the female population earned a high income, and 37.5% earned a low income, compared with 9.7% and 42.2% respectively for CAD East.

The major differences between the City of Adelaide's female individual incomes and CAD East's female individual incomes were:

  • A larger percentage of females who earned $300 - $399 (6.6% compared to 5.4%)
  • A larger percentage of females who earned $150 - $299 (6.0% compared to 5.0%)
  • A larger percentage of females who earned $800 - $999 (7.0% compared to 6.1%)
  • A smaller percentage of females who earned Negative Income/ Nil income (14.5% compared to 21.9%)
