Dominant groups
Analysis of the female five year age groups of CAD East in 2021 compared to South East Corner shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 3.7% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 10.4% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 8.1% and 24.3% respectively for South East Corner.
The major differences between the female age structure of CAD East and South East Corner were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 20 to 24 (26.0% compared to 8.7%)

The largest changes in female age structure in this area between 2001 and 2021 were in the age groups:
- 20 to 24 (+487 females)
- 25 to 29 (+325 females)
- 30 to 34 (+150 females)
- 15 to 19 (+106 females)
