Dominant groups
Analysis of the female five year age groups of City South in 2021 compared to Lower North Adelaide shows that there was a lower proportion of females in the younger age groups (under 15) as well as a lower proportion of females in the older age groups (65+).
Overall, 5.9% of the female population was aged between 0 and 15, and 14.0% were aged 65 years and over, compared with 7.3% and 17.2% respectively for Lower North Adelaide.
The major differences between the female age structure of City South and Lower North Adelaide were:
- A larger percentage of females aged 25 to 29 (15.7% compared to 8.5%)
- A larger percentage of females aged 30 to 34 (12.1% compared to 8.5%)

- 30 to 34 (+232 females)
- 35 to 39 (+136 females)
