Analysis of car ownership in 2021, indicates 13% of households in South West Overlay had access to two or more motor vehicles, compared to 19% in South East Overlay.

Dominant groups

Analysis of the car ownership of the households in South West Overlay in 2021 compared to South East Overlay shows that 63.9% of the households owned at least one car, while 29.2% did not, compared with 72.4% and 22.2% respectively in South East Overlay.

Of those that owned at least one vehicle, there was a smaller proportion who owned just one car; a smaller proportion who owned two cars; and a smaller proportion who owned three cars or more.
